The theme of this event is "Web3: The Internet of the Future". The event aims to promote knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation in the field of Web3, and strengthen Hong Kong's position as a gateway for Web3 innovation in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region. The event supports Web3 developers, fosters collaboration, and drives innovation in the Ethereum ecosystem. The Hong Kong government recently introduced a HK$30 billion mutual fund in 2023 to support the development of fintech, blockchain and digital assets.
‣ Ray Chan, founder of the well-known social media platforms 9gag and Memeland, and Hong Kong Legislative Council member Qiu Wenyan, etc. will share their understanding and insights on blockchain and Web3 from their respective professional fields, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of blockchain and Web3 a valuable platform.
‣ Hackathons that provide developers with an opportunity to showcase their Web3 projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to develop new Web3 applications during the two-day hackathon.
‣ NFT ticketing platform Moongate will unlock new ticketing methods to provide a comprehensive experience for developers, builders, investors and blockchain enthusiasts participating in ETH Hong Kong.

From October 22 to 24, 2023, the ETH Hong Kong event co-sponsored by Scroll, Ethereum’s native zkEVM expansion solution, and Newman Group, a Web3 technology venture capital company, will be held in Hong Kong’s Cyberport. This event invited more than 50 industry experts, including Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, 9gag and Memeland co-founder Ray Chan, Hong Kong Legislative Council member Qiu Wenyan, etc.
